Finding a way to make men uncomfortable or slightly afraid has become one of my favorite activities. So lets talk about how you can add a few micro-feminisms to your daily routine and make all of the men around you feel inferior. We will discuss anytime, any place micro feminisms and them some that are more tailored to specific locations and specific careers.

First, imagine yourself out and needed to tell a group of men something exiting or important, usually we would say "Guys!", now lets replace it with "Girls!" or "Ladies!". This will not only get their full attention and ensure they will be engaged in what you are saying. Using this technique will also allow a quick way to weed out the true tools.

Lets try this next, when answering an email always assume the person receiving and sending is a female and should be addressed as such, To Ms. whoever. Making sure to use Ms. instead of the mans title, i.e. Ms. Davis vs. Dr. Davis. Don't forget your manners either and be sure to always use ma'am and madam. This technique works well with phone calls also. We always need to assume everyone we will call or receive a call from is a woman. Leaving voicemails or returning calls is a great time to try out these techniques.

One technique I enjoy a lot is when listening to a man complain especially in the work place, I like to bring up how terrible my period is and that I am currently menstruating. Not only does this make some of them uncomfortable it also usually gives them no more room to complain about whatever dumb thing they were complaining about before. I also find it empowering to carry my menstruation products out in the open when going to the bathroom at work. Nothing humbles a man quicker than thinking I am holding a snack and finding out it is a tampon.

Now in the workplace, and I mean super professional setting, please make sure that you always use all of your titles anytime you are referring to yourself. Do not let miss an opportunity to sign an email with all educational and professional titles you have earned. I don't care if it is fifteen titles!
